FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS and POLICIES
Do you ship internationally?
***SHIPPING UPDATE***
Sadly, due to a newly updated EU law (GPSR- General Product Safety Regulation) I am no longer able to ship my artwork to countries within the EU and Northern Ireland. Customers living in England, Scotland and Wales can still purchase directly through my website. If you are anywhere else in the world, please click here and contact me for a shipping quote based on your location. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Should I expect customs fees?
I am NOT responsible for any customs or import taxes that you may be charged upon delivery or collection of your artwork. Please contact your local customs office before purchasing to enquire about any such fees.
How long after purchasing will my order be posted?
Please allow up to 7 days for your order to be dispatched. The likelihood is that I will be able to post within a few days of receiving your order, but I like to allow myself plenty of time being a full time mum with a young child at home. Please contact me if you need your order posting ASAP and I will do my best to accommodate.
What to do if my order is delayed, damaged or lost in the post?
Once your order has been shipped it is out of my hands. Please do however contact me if you haven't received you order when expected and I will do my best to look into it for you. I always ensure all orders are very well protected when posting, however if your item arrives damaged due to careless handling during transit, please get in touch.
Do you accept refunds or exchanges?
I DO NOT accept returns or exchanges. If however in the unlikely event that your artwork has been damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your order, with clear photographic evidence.
How do I care for my artwork?
To maintain the quality of the artwork, please keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. To clean, simply dust lightly with a soft microfibre cloth. If a resin piece needs a slightly deeper clean to remove marks such as finger prints, again use a soft microfibre cloth but with a small amount of glass cleaner and gently buff until clear. Avoid keeping your artwork in damp or humid areas (such as bathrooms) as moisture can warp the wooden panels. Please note my trinket dishes are NOT food OR dishwasher safe. They are intended to hold jewellery and/or other precious keepsakes only.
Do you accept commissions?
Please contact me to discuss commission requests, I love hearing all your wonderful ideas and will do my upmost to bring them to life! We can discuss and tailor your visioned artwork to fit your space perfectly, be it shape, size, colour etc… Please note however that I am no longer taking resin ocean/resin waves commissions.
Do you still make resin oceans?
I have moved on from my resin ocean era. I loved it at the time but as an artist I felt my passion to create them lessened and the strong need for a change. Now I am excited to be exploring other ideas and mixed media (all ocean inspired of course, it’s impossible for me to drift far from the sea!) I still use epoxy resin in some of my paintings but not to make waves as such.
A painting I loved has sold, can you recreate it for me?
To a certain extent, yes! No two works can ever be exactly the same due to the nature of it being handmade, that’s the beauty of art! However, I have recreated sold work before now, often adding slight variations to keep each piece unique. Please contact me to enquire.
***PLEASE NOTE***
The colours of my artwork may vary slightly in person as cameras, phones and computer screens sometimes struggle to capture the true colours. I try my best to get as close a match as possible.
I take great care to ensure all of my items are of a very high quality but please note due to them being handmade, there may be tiny imperfections such as dust particles, air bubbles and dimples in the resin surface. This only adds a little character!
Wherever possible I really try to be mindful about the materials and products I use for my artwork, in order to help protect our beautiful planet. I love to use Ecopoxy, a more natural bio-based epoxy resin made from renewable resources. Biodegradable gloves and wet wipes, silicone or glass cups and reusable stirring sticks are all examples of other sustainable materials I use. I’m always on the lookout for items I can repurpose for my art such as recycled wood, surfboard fins, driftwood etc…
I wrap all orders with 100% recyclable and biodegradable kraft paper and recycled brown paper tape, then tie with natural hemp string. Orders will then be wrapped in either recycled or biodegradable bubble wrap. I save all of the boxes and packaging from my supply deliveries and repurpose these materials when posting out orders. So if you see other brand logos on your parcel, this is why! I’d be so grateful if you could reuse or recycle the materials you receive with your package too.
